General Terms and Conditions (AGB) ZENSES Chalets – Nature Retreat at the Rursee, Eifel National Park 1.

Scope of Application: These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for accommodation, additional services, and experiences booked with ZENSES Chalets, operated by ZENSES GmbH (hereinafter “ZENSES”). Deviating conditions of the guest shall not apply unless expressly agreed in writing.

2. Booking & Contract: A booking becomes binding once confirmed in writing by ZENSES (email confirmation is sufficient). The booking confirmation constitutes a rental agreement between the guest and ZENSES. Bookings may be made directly via our website, by email, or through approved booking platforms.

3. Payment Terms Upon booking of events and special offline conditions: Deposit of 25% of the total accommodation price is due. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Additional services (eg massages, bread service, bike rental, special arrangements) are charged separately and must be paid according to the agreed terms. ZENSES reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment deadlines are not met.

4. Arrival & Departure Arrival: Arrival times are binding as stated in the booking confirmation (generally between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM). Late Check-in: Later check-ins are possible upon availability and incur an additional fee of €30.

Departure: On the day of departure, the chalet must be vacated by 10:00 AM. Early arrivals or late departures require prior approval and may incur additional charges.

5. Use of the Chalets: The chalets are intended exclusively for accommodation purposes. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults per chalet. ZENSES Chalets is an adults-only retreat (18+). The entire property is non-smoking. Pets are not permitted, including dogs and cats. Guests are responsible for treating the chalet, its furnishings, and outdoor areas with care and respect.

6. Private Sauna & Facilities: Each chalet includes a private sauna. Guests use the sauna and all facilities at their own risk. ZENSES assumes no liability for improper use, health-related issues, or accidents resulting from misuse. Guests are responsible for following all safety instructions provided in the chalet.

7. Additional Services & Experiences: Additional services (massage treatments, bread delivery, bike rental, yoga classes, nature experiences, special surprises, etc.) are optional, subject to availability, and not included in the accommodation price unless explicitly booked. ZENSES acts partly as an intermediary for third-party providers and is not liable for services performed by external partners, except in cases of gross negligence or intent.

8. Cancellation by the Guest: Cancellations must be made in writing. Up to 49 days before arrival: cancellation fee of 25% of the rental price Later cancellations or no-shows: fees according to the rental agreement,up to 100% of the rental price If the chalet can be re-let, cancellation fees will be reduced accordingly. We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

9. Cancellation by ZENSES: ZENSES may cancel the contract for justified reasons (eg force majeure, safety concerns, unforeseen operational issues). In such cases, any payments already made will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.

10. Liability: ZENSES is liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, except in cases of injury to life, body, or health. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. ZENSES assumes no liability for loss, theft, or damage.

11. Parking & Property Rules: Each chalet includes one parking space. Additional spaces may be booked subject to availability. Motorcycles are not permitted on the property to preserve the quiet atmosphere. Guests must comply with all house rules and respect the peaceful nature of the retreat.

12. Quiet Hours & Respect for Nature: ZENSES Chalets is a place of silence, relaxation, and nature connection. Guests are expected to behave considerately, avoid noise disturbances, and respect the surrounding natural environment. Events, parties, or disruptive behavior are not permitted unless expressly agreed in advance.

13. Data Protection:  Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR). Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

14. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction: German law shall apply. Place of jurisdiction, where legally permissible, is the registered office of ZENSES GmbH.

15. Severability Clause: Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.and respect the surrounding natural environment.
